ينبغي أن يعدّ التذكير التنازلي على الشاشة، خطوةً واحدة في كل مرة، ثم يتوقف.

تشغّل setInterval(fn, ms) الدالة fn كل ms ميلي ثانية حتى توقفها clearInterval(id)؛ أما setTimeout فتشغّلها مرة واحدة. لا ينتهي البرنامج إلا عند عدم بقاء أي مؤقّت، لذا فإن فترةً زمنيةً لا توقفها تُبقيه قيد التشغيل.

توقف الوحدة الطرفية البرنامج بعد 5 ثوانٍ، وهذه هي الطريقة التي تلاحظ بها نسيان clearInterval.

يطبع remind <n> الأرقام 3 و2 و1، ثم نص الملاحظة n، سطرًا كل 200 ms، وينتهي البرنامج.
يُظهر الرقم غير الصالح استجابةً مثل done: No note <word>، ورمز خروج 1.

شغّل node notes.js remind 1، ثم node notes.js remind 9.
