The Story Problem
Part of the Fundamentals section of Coddy's Math journey. Lesson 64 of 64.
The last challenge is a story. Consecutive even numbers step by 2, so if the smaller is n, the larger is n + 2. Collect, undo, divide, then read the answer back into the story: do the two numbers you find really add up, and are they even?
Challenge
Two consecutive even numbers add up to 46: n + (n + 2) = 46. Solve for the smaller one, n.
Try it yourself
