Recap - Metal Contest
Part of the Oxidation and Reduction section of Coddy's Chemistry journey. Lesson 20 of 27.
Challenge
Aluminum foil is dropped into blue copper(II) chloride solution. It fizzes, gets hot, and reddish copper forms on the foil: Al + Cu²⁺ → Al³⁺ + Cu. Choose the oxidizing agent and the reducing agent, and count the electrons passed in the balanced equation.
