Every way to learn

Read, listen, test yourself, ask the AI about your own bench, or look up anything you've already covered. Every lesson meets you where you are.

What Everything Is Made Of
Audio

Everything around you is matter, and all matter is made of tiny particles called atoms.

A substance made of only one kind of atom is an element. There are 118 known elements.

The periodic table lists every element with its symbol: H for hydrogen, O for oxygen.

Why learn energy and equilibrium with Coddy

  • Energy diagrams you draw. Place the products' level and the top of the hump, then the lower hump a catalyst gives; the board checks the sign and size of every change.
  • Bond energies in steps. Add the energy that breaks the bonds, subtract the energy released by the new ones, and solve for ΔH with its unit checked.
  • Le Chatelier as a rule you apply. Add a reactant, heat the mixture or raise the pressure, and say which way the equilibrium moves and what happens to K.
  • Exam-style practice. The last chapter is problems shaped like exam questions, each one a challenge you solve on a board.

Frequently asked questions about energy, rates and equilibrium

What does the Energy, Rates and Equilibrium section cover?

Exothermic and endothermic reactions, energy diagrams, enthalpy change and activation energy, bond energies and Hess's law, heating curves and changes of state, collision theory and what changes a reaction's rate, reversible reactions, the equilibrium constant K and Le Chatelier's principle, ending with the Haber process and exam-style practice problems.

What is chemical equilibrium?

The state of a reversible reaction when the forward and backward reactions run at the same rate, so the amounts of reactants and products stop changing. It is dynamic: both reactions go on. The equilibrium constant K tells how far it lies toward the products.

What is Le Chatelier's principle?

When a system at equilibrium is changed, the equilibrium shifts to undo part of the change. Adding a reactant shifts it toward the products, raising the pressure favors the side with fewer gas molecules, and heating favors the endothermic direction. Only a change of temperature changes K.

How long is the Energy, Rates and Equilibrium section?

Seven chapters and 35 lessons, each a few minutes long. Finishing it earns a free, verifiable certificate.

What's the fastest way to learn Energy, Rates and Equilibrium?

Write Energy, Rates and Equilibrium every day. Coddy's course is structured exactly for that: short interactive lessons, immediate exercises, and AI hints when you stall. You spend more time coding Energy, Rates and Equilibrium than waiting on long video lectures.

Do I get a Energy, Rates and Equilibrium certificate when I finish?

Yes. When you complete the Energy, Rates and Equilibrium course you receive a free certificate of completion that you can share on LinkedIn or add to your resume.
