Inside the Trigonometry course

Each section below issues its own certificate when completed. Browse the full course to see every lesson and challenge.

01
Right-Triangle TrigonometryFind any side or angle of a right triangle from the parts you know: name the sides, pick sine, cosine or tangent, solve and round, or give the exact value at 30°, 45° and 60°. Then use it on heights, distances, ramps and ladders, with angles of elevation and depression.
02
Angles and the Unit CirclePlace any angle in degrees or radians, convert between the two, and find arc lengths and sector areas. Read exact sine, cosine and tangent values at every special angle from the unit circle, using the reference angle and the quadrant's sign, and extend all six functions to any point on any circle.
03
Graphs of Trig FunctionsDraw sine, cosine and tangent waves and read their equations: amplitude, period, midline and phase shift, in radians and in degrees, then model Ferris wheels, daylight, tides and springs with them.
04
Trig IdentitiesProve identities on the board, one named step at a time: Pythagorean, reciprocal and quotient identities, even, odd and cofunctions, sum and difference, double and half angles, power reduction and product to sum. Find exact values such as sin 15° and tan 105°, and draw sin²x as the wave it is.

How it works

Three steps from your first equation to a certificate you can show off.

  1. 01

    Pick a course

Choose any math course and start with the first lesson - no card, no signup wall.

  2. 02

    Solve through the section

Each section is a series of lessons and challenges where you work every problem step by step on the math board, which only accepts legal moves.

  3. 03

    Earn & share your certificate

Finish the section to unlock a verifiable certificate with a unique ID. Add it to LinkedIn, a school application or your CV in one click.

What you will prove

Each Trigonometry certificate certifies that you solved the problems yourself, step by step - not that you watched a lecture.

Find sides and angles of right triangles with sin, cos and tan
Use radians, reference angles and the unit circle
Graph trig functions and prove identities step by step
Solve trig equations and any triangle with the laws of sines and cosines

Solve one before you commit

Open the equation solver and watch a problem worked step by step, every move named the way the course names it. See the method before you start earning the certificate.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get a math certificate on Coddy?
Pick any math course and complete a section - finish every lesson and challenge in it. The certificate is generated automatically the moment the last lesson is done and added to your account.
Is a math certificate from Coddy accredited?
No. Coddy is not a school and does not award academic credit. What the certificate records is that you solved every problem in a section yourself, on a board that checks each step - a concrete, verifiable record of the work, which is what a tutor, a teacher or a portfolio can use it for.
Are Coddy's math certificates free?
Yes. Every certificate is free to earn, view, download and share. There is no paywall on any math lesson and no subscription needed for the certificate.
How does someone verify a math certificate?
Every certificate has a unique ID and a public URL. Anyone can paste the ID into the verifier on this page or open the URL to confirm it is genuine and see which section it was issued for.
Can I put a math certificate on LinkedIn?
Yes - the certificate page has a one-click "Add to LinkedIn" button, a downloadable PDF and a public link. Most learners add them under Licenses & Certifications.
How many math certificates can I earn?
One per section of every math course - five for algebra today: fundamentals, inequalities and absolute value, graphs and systems, exponents and polynomials, factoring and quadratics - with more courses as the space grows.
Do I need to finish the whole course to get a certificate?
No. Each section issues its own certificate as soon as you finish it, so your first one arrives after the first section, not at the end of the course.
What if I lose my certificate ID?
Sign in and open this page: every certificate you have earned is listed under "My certifications" with a link and a download button.
