  • 순수 Lua에는 없는 Luau 전용 문법: 백틱 문자열 보간, 복합 대입(+=, ..=), continue, if ... then ... else 표현식, 일반화된 반복, table.freeze.

Luau란 무엇인가요?

Luau는 Lua 5.1에서 파생된 프로그래밍 언어로, Roblox가 개발해 오픈소스로 공개했습니다. Lua의 문법과 속도를 유지하면서 점진적 타입 시스템을 추가해, 원하는 만큼만 타입을 붙일 수 있습니다. 모든 Roblox 게임이 이 언어로 스크립팅되며, 빠르고 임베드하기 쉬운 스크립트 언어로 단독으로도 쓰입니다.

Lua와 Luau의 차이는 무엇인가요?

Luau는 일부 기능이 제거된 Lua 5.1의 상위 집합입니다. 가장 큰 추가 사항은 타입입니다: local hp: number = 100, 타입 별칭, 유니온, 제네릭, 그리고 세 가지 검사 모드(--!nocheck, --!nonstrict, --!strict). 또한 백틱 문자열 보간, +=와 ..= 같은 복합 대입 연산자, continue, if ... then ... else 표현식, 정수 나눗셈 //, 일반화된 반복, table.freeze 같은 함수가 추가됩니다. 반면 샌드박싱을 위해 loadstring, loadfile, dofile은 빠졌습니다. 일반적인 Lua 코드는 보통 수정 없이 Luau로 실행됩니다.
