Recap - Potassium Oxide
Part of the Atomic Structure section of Coddy's Chemistry journey. Lesson 43 of 45.
Challenge
Potassium oxide, K₂O, is a white solid. Farmers meet it on every bag of fertilizer: the potassium a fertilizer holds is given as the percent of K₂O it would make.
Most of the potassium and oxygen in K₂O is potassium-39 and oxygen-16. Build the two ions of potassium oxide from these isotopes: the potassium ion and the oxide ion.
