Circumference to Area
Part of the Circles section of Coddy's Geometry journey. Lesson 14 of 62.
The circumference and the area both depend on the radius. So the radius is the bridge between them: find it from the one you know, then use it for the other.
Here the circumference is 8π. From 8π = 2πr, the radius is 4. Then the area is π × 4² = 16π. Two rules, one after the other: Circumference for the radius, then Area of a circle.
Challenge
The circumference of circle O is 12π. Find its area A, exact in terms of π, then press Check.
