Final: The Pizza Slice
Part of the Circles section of Coddy's Geometry journey. Lesson 58 of 62.
A round pizza 16 inches across is cut once straight through the middle, along the diameter AC, and once from the center O to the edge at B. The cut OB makes a 135° angle with OA. How much pizza is in the smaller slice OBC? Give the area exactly, in terms of π.
Challenge
AC is the 16-inch diameter of the pizza and OB is a radius. Find the area of the slice OBC, exact in terms of π, then press Check.
