Tools You Have Earned
Part of the Transformations & Constructions section of Coddy's Geometry journey. Lesson 50 of 61.
Once you can build a construction, you can use it as one tool. From now on some tasks unlock Perpendicular (tap a line, then a point) and Angle bisector (tap a point on one arm, then the vertex, then a point on the other arm). Each counts as one tool use.
A 45° angle is half a right angle. So build a right angle with Perpendicular, mark a point on its new arm (a circle crosses it), and halve the right angle with Angle bisector. With the basic tools alone this takes 8 uses; the unlocked tools do it in about half.
Challenge
Construct a line through A at 45° to the ray AB, then press Check. The Perpendicular and Angle bisector tools are unlocked.
Try it yourself
Construct it with a compass and straightedge
