Meet f(x)
Part of the Functions & Transformations section of Coddy's Algebra 2 journey. Lesson 1 of 58.
Welcome to Algebra 2. This course picks up where Algebra ends and takes you through functions, quadratics and complex numbers, polynomials and rational expressions, radicals, exponentials and logarithms, and trigonometry. Every idea comes with a worked example, a short quiz, and a problem you solve on the board.
Most of Algebra 2 is about functions. A function is a rule with a name. f(x) = 3x - 2 says: take the input, multiply it by 3, then subtract 2. Writing f(4) asks for the output when the input is 4.
Challenge
The board holds f(4) for the rule f(x) = 3x - 2. Tap the move under it to use the rule, then press Check.
