Final: Divide It Out
Part of the Polynomials & Rational Expressions section of Coddy's Algebra 2 journey. Lesson 50 of 54.
Divide the polynomial on the board by x + 1 with long division. Its top has no x term, and the division does not come out even: write the result as a polynomial plus the remainder over x + 1.
Challenge
Divide (2x^3 - x^2 + 4)/(x + 1). Write the result as a polynomial plus a remainder over x + 1.
Try it yourself
(2x^3 - x^2 + 4)/(x + 1)
Divide the polynomials
