Negative Angles
Part of the Angles and the Unit Circle section of Coddy's Trigonometry journey. Lesson 6 of 57.
A negative angle turns clockwise from the positive x-axis. -90° is a quarter turn clockwise and points straight down, to the same place as 270°.
-150° turns clockwise past -90° and ends in quadrant III.
Take -150°. A quarter turn clockwise reaches the negative y-axis, and 60° more clockwise carries the side up toward the negative x-axis, ending in quadrant III. It stops where 210° stops: going 150° one way leaves 210° to go the other way, since the two make a full turn.
Challenge
Drag the point to -120°, then press Check.
