Phase Shift in Degrees
Part of the Graphs of Trig Functions section of Coddy's Trigonometry journey. Lesson 26 of 51.
On a degree axis the shift is in degrees. y = cos(x - 60°) is the cosine slid 60° to the right: its top moves from 0° to 60°, and every other point moves with it.
To place a shifted cosine, find where its inside is 0: that is its top. For a shifted sine the same x is where it crosses the midline going up. Then draw the rest a quarter period at a time.
Challenge
