The Cosine Graph

Part of the Graphs of Trig Functions section of Coddy's Trigonometry journey. Lesson 5 of 49.

The sine wave shows the point's height. Plot the point's across instead and you get the wave of $\cos\left(x\right)$ . It is 1 at 0, 0 at π/2, −1 at π, 0 at 3π/2 and 1 again at 2π.

It goes from −1 to 1, repeats every 2π, and has the same shape as the sine. Only the start is different: the cosine starts at its top.

The faint wave is y = sin(x). Draw y = cos(x) over it.
