The Greedy Piece

Part of the Core Motifs section of Coddy's Tactics & Checkmates journey. Lesson 28 of 35.

The most common trapped piece is a greedy one: it took a pawn on the edge and stayed. The bishop on a2 dies to b3, the bishop on h2 to the king's walk, the knight on the rim to a pawn push. Before every pawn grab, ask what happens the move after; and when they grab, shut the door.
