Two Checks at Once
Part of the Core Motifs section of Coddy's Tactics & Checkmates journey. Lesson 21 of 35.
A discovered check is greedy; a double check is rude. When the front piece checks as well, two checks burn at once: no block covers two lines, no capture removes two checkers. The king moves or nothing does, so the front piece may land on a guarded square, attack the queen, and take her next move.
