Faces, Edges and Vertices

Take any box. It has 6 faces, 8 corners and 12 edges, and . A triangular prism has 5 faces, 6 corners and 9 edges. That also gives 2. Every solid with flat faces and no dents gives exactly 2.
- A face is a flat side.
- An edge is where two faces meet.
- A vertex is a corner. Two or more are called vertices.
A pyramid has a flat base and triangle faces that meet at one point. A can (cylinder), a party hat (cone) and a ball (sphere) have curved surfaces. Half a ball is a hemisphere.
Challenge
The prism lies on its side. Its triangle ends are at the front and the back. Tap the edge that gives its length, from one triangle end to the other.
