Moving The Files

Part of the Fundamentals section of Coddy's Terminal journey. Lesson 23 of 82.

Easy

Now move each photo file into its correct directory:

  • Move beach.jpg, mountain.jpg and sunset.jpg into nature/
  • Move paris.jpg into travel/
  • Move family.jpg into family/

Then verify your work by listing the contents of each folder:

  • ls nature
  • ls travel
  • ls family

Hint: The format is mv filename folder/. Make sure notes.txt stays in the home directory — don't move it! Only run the commands requested; extra commands may interfere with the verification process.
