Describing Pods

kubectl get gives you one line per Pod. For everything about a single Pod, use describe:

kubectl describe pod web

The output lists the Pod's Namespace, the Node it runs on, its Status and IP, and a Containers section with the Image and the container's State.

At the bottom is the Events section: the story of the Pod in order. A healthy start reads Scheduled, Pulling, Pulled, Created, Started. When something goes wrong, the events are the first place to look.
