Final: Area, Expanded
Part of the Exponents & Polynomials section of Coddy's Algebra journey. Lesson 63 of 64.
The first bed's area (x+5)(x+2) expands to x^2 + 7x + 10: four products, the middle collected. The expanded form answers a different question than the factored one: it shows how the area grows as x grows, term by term.
Challenge
MediumExpand the second bed's area (x+6)(x+2) into a trinomial.
Try it yourself
(x+6)(x+2)
Simplify the expression
