Measuring Mass and Volume

Part of the Food Chemistry and the Lab section of Coddy's Chemistry journey. Lesson 18 of 27.

A balance gives grams. A measuring cylinder is quick; a pipette gives one exact volume; a burette any volume to 0.05 mL.

Read the bottom of the meniscus, eye level with it.

Weigh in grams, count in moles: m=n×Mm = n \times M.
