What Even Is AI?
Part of the Fundamentals section of Coddy's AI Prompts journey — lesson 1 of 23.
Welcome to the world of AI! Let's start with the basics.
AI is software that understands language and generates responses. When you type a message, the AI predicts what words should come next based on patterns it learned from billions of sentences.
The key insight: AI doesn't "know" things the way you do—it generates text that statistically makes sense based on its training. This is why how you ask matters, and that's exactly what prompt engineering is all about.
Challenge
For your first message with the AI, Send anything you want to the AI and then press the submit button.
