Recap - Gases for Ammonia
Part of the Stoichiometry section of Coddy's Chemistry journey. Lesson 31 of 41.
Challenge
A fertilizer plant makes its ammonia from nitrogen and hydrogen gases:
N₂(g) + 3H₂(g) → 2NH₃(g)
Calculate the total volume of nitrogen and hydrogen, , at room conditions, needed to make of ammonia (NH₃, 17 g/mol). Assume that 1 mol of gas takes 25 L.
