A Bot That Attacks
Lesson 15 of 20 in Coddy's Roblox Game: Battlegrounds course.
A bot within Settings.BotRange of you stops and hits: Settings.BotDamage, at most once per Settings.BotAttackCooldown, with the slash on its own Animator.
Its hits go through hurt like yours, so your block (F) already takes most of them. One function for every hit pays off here.
if time() - lastAttack >= Settings.BotAttackCooldown then
lastAttack = time()
hurt(target.Humanoid, Settings.BotDamage)
endChallenge
HardIn runBot, add local lastAttack = 0. When the target is within Settings.BotRange: stand still, and if Settings.BotAttackCooldown has passed since the last hit, play the slash on the bot's Animator and hurt the target with Settings.BotDamage. Otherwise chase as before.
Press Play, then Check.
