Falling Out of the Level
Part of the Worlds section of Coddy's Pygame journey. Lesson 18 of 35.
The ground has a pit. Walk into it and the player falls forever, out of sight. Its y keeps growing and nothing brings it back.
The level ends at the bottom of the window, y = 360. Once the player's top is below that, its whole body is out of the level: put it back at the start and stop the fall.
if player.top > 360:
player.midbottom = start
vel_y = 0start is the point the map loops saved for the P tile: the bottom middle of that tile, where the player first stood. Later, this is where a life is lost.
Challenge
Easy- After the vertical collisions, when
player.top > 360, setplayer.midbottom = startandvel_y = 0.
