How heart and love kaomoji work
There are two heart characters and they mean slightly different things. ♥ is the solid black heart, heavy and certain - (♥ω♥) is smitten. ♡ is the outlined white heart, lighter and softer - (♡˙︶˙♡) is gently in love. Where the heart sits matters too: as eyes it is infatuation, held out in a hand (*・ω・)ﾉ♡ it is a gift, trailing after the face it is a mood.
Kisses are a ³ or з mouth, sometimes with a ~ for the sound: (˘ ³˘)♥ blows a kiss, (づ￣ ³￣)づ comes in for a kiss and a hug, and (っ˘з(˘⌣˘ ) is two faces, one kissing the other on the cheek. The reaching arms づ っ turn a kiss into an embrace, which is why the Hugs page overlaps with this one.
