Unlock in Order

Lesson 13 of 18 in Coddy's Roblox Game: Factory Tycoon course.

A tycoon reveals itself bit by bit: at first only the cheapest pad is for sale, and each purchase brings out the next. Each pad after the first has an After attribute naming the item it waits for.

At the start, pads that wait move to a folder in ServerStorage, WaitingPads. Whenever build puts an item in the factory, it brings out every waiting pad whose After is that item's name:

for _, pad in waiting:GetChildren() do
	if pad:GetAttribute("After") == item.Name then
		pad.Parent = tycoon.Buttons
	end
end

The pads already have their Touched connections and price tags, so they work the moment they come back.

Challenge

Medium

Unlock the pads in order:

  1. Make a Folder named WaitingPads in ServerStorage, kept as waiting.
  2. After the pads' Touched connections and price tags are set up, move every pad with an After attribute into it.
  3. In build, bring back every waiting pad whose After is the item's Name.

Press Play and unlock the factory step by step, then Check.
