Decide, Then Write

Part of the AI Decisions section of Coddy's AI Prompts journey. Lesson 18 of 22.

Decisions and chat replies work best together. First a decision picks the path, then your app runs the prompt for that path. The AI that writes the reply never has to work out what kind of message it is.

decision: team, wants
if wants == money_back: refund prompt

else: general reply prompt

Each prompt can then be short and specific, with its own examples from Prompting Techniques, and the code, not the AI, decides which one runs.
