Guards Before Posting
Part of the AI Decisions section of Coddy's AI Prompts journey. Lesson 9 of 22.
A decision works well as a guard: check every message before it is posted or sent, and stop the ones that land on the wrong side.
A job board wants every post to show the pay. Its guard has yearly: a salary per year and none: no pay mentioned. For Weekend barista wanted in Leeds, 12.50 an hour, start in May.:
none ██████████░░░░░░░░░░ 50%
yearly ██████████░░░░░░░░░░ 50%An hourly rate fits neither option, so the guard is torn between two wrong answers. With an hourly option:
hourly ████████████████████ 100%
none ░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░ 0%
yearly ░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░ 0%When one side of a guard comes in several forms, give each form its own option. The app lets the post through on anything but none.
Challenge
EasyA forum for young gamers must never show personal contact details. Its guard contact knows phone and none, so addresses and emails slip through.
Add the options address and email, each with a description, so every kind of contact detail is caught.
