Recap: The Pin

Part of the Tactics section of Coddy's Chess journey. Lesson 19 of 48.

One chapter, one idea: a pinned piece stops being a piece. Against the king it cannot move; against the queen it will not. Either way its guard duty is fiction - so rob what it guards, pile on it with something cheap, and when you are the one pinned, break the line, never add defenders.
