From Figure to Equation

Part of the Angles section of Coddy's Geometry journey. Lesson 39 of 62.

Modeling a transversal figure is the chapter 7 diagnosis with algebra in the labels. Name the pair’s shape, attach its rule, and copy the labels in whole, parentheses included.

Alternate angles: w plus 25 degrees and 110 degrees

Reading the figure: the marked pair bends through a Z, so the labels equate: w + 25 = 110. Not solved, and not supposed to be: the equation is the reading of the figure.

The marked angles hug the same side of the transversal between the parallels: (2x + 30)° and 70°.

Co-interior angles: 2x plus 30 degrees and 70 degrees

Write the equation the figure states. Do not solve it.
