Perpendicular Lines
Part of the Angles section of Coddy's Geometry journey. Lesson 14 of 62.
Perpendicular lines intersect at right angles. If one angle is 90°, each adjacent angle is 180 - 90 = 90 degrees, and the vertically opposite angle is also 90°.
The symbol is a little upside-down T: AB ⊥ CD reads “AB is perpendicular to CD”. In figures the square in one corner makes the same promise without words.
