Magnetic Flux
Part of the Electricity and Magnetism section of Coddy's Physics journey. Lesson 48 of 51.
The magnetic flux through a loop:
Φ = B A cos θ
θ is between B and the loop's normal. 1 Wb = 1 T·m².
Field straight through: Φ = BA. Loop along the field: Φ = 0.
Challenge
A loop of area 0.05 m² sits in a 0.2 T field, tilted so that its normal makes 60° with the field. What is the flux Φ through it?
