Play It Out: Game Two
Part of the Playing Real Games section of Coddy's Chess journey. Lesson 18 of 40.
Game two: Black plays ...Nf6 on move three, inviting the knight jump. You decline, build the same setup, and when Black trades off your Italian bishop you get an open a-file in return. By move twelve the knight has finished its journey and the middlegame is yours to plan.
