The Fried Liver

Part of the Playing Real Games section of Coddy's Chess journey. Lesson 15 of 40.

The Fried Liver: after 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4 Nf6, White jumps Ng5, and if Black takes on d5 with the knight, the sacrifice Nxf7 drags the king into the open. Two things to know. As White, your system does not need it - play d3. As Black, never take with the knight: ...Na5 hits the bishop instead.
