Draw From Any Form

Part of the Graphs & Systems section of Coddy's Algebra journey. Lesson 18 of 61.

To draw $x+2y = 4$ , isolate y: $2y = -x+4$ , so $y = \frac{-1}{2}x+2$ . Plot the y-intercept $\left(0, 2\right)$ and use the slope $\frac{-1}{2}$ to find another point.

For a nonvertical line, rearranging to $y = mx+b$ gives its y-intercept b and slope m. Plot the intercept and use the slope to find a second point.
