Draw From Any Form

Part of the Graphs & Systems section of Coddy's Algebra journey. Lesson 21 of 64.

A drawing request may arrive in any costume. To draw x + 2y = 4, first undress it: 2y = -x + 4, so y = -1/2x + 2. Now it is instructions again: cross at (0, 2), fall half a step per step right.

Rearranging before drawing beats hunting for points, because the form hands over the two facts a drawing needs, the crossing and the climb, in one motion. The algebra of the last lesson is the pencil of this one.
