Final: Round Trip

Part of the Graphs & Systems section of Coddy's Algebra journey. Lesson 58 of 61.

The final challenges combine what you learned in this section. The first one is changing a line from standard form to slope-intercept form. Solve for $y$ , divide every term, and reduce each fraction. For example, take $2x+3y = 6$ . Subtract $2x$ from both sides to get $3y = -2x+6$ . Divide every term by 3 to get $y = \frac{-2}{3}x+2$ . Now you can read the slope, $\frac{-2}{3}$ , and the y-intercept, 2, straight from the equation.
