Quiz: Results Screen
Part of the Projects section of Coddy's Flutter journey. Lesson 16 of 36.
When the last question is answered, the quiz should end on a screen of its own with your result. That is a second widget, ResultsScreen, and Navigator.push takes you there.
The results screen needs two numbers, the score and how many questions there were. It gets them through its constructor, as required named parameters:
class ResultsScreen extends StatelessWidget {
const ResultsScreen({super.key, required this.score, required this.total});
final int score;
final int total;
...
}On the last question the button reads "See results" instead of "Next". The same _next method handles both: on the last question it pushes the results screen and returns, so the index never goes past the end of the list.
if (_isLast) {
Navigator.push(context, MaterialPageRoute(
builder: (context) => ResultsScreen(score: _score, total: questions.length),
));
return;
}Challenge
MediumEnd the quiz on a results screen:
- write a
ResultsScreenwith aScaffold, anAppBartitledResultsand, in the middle in 24 pixels of padding,You scored 3 out of 5(with the real numbers) in the theme'sheadlineSmall - show the button after every answer, labelled
See resultson the last question andNexton the others - on the last question,
_nextpushes the results screen
