Store: The Cart Screen
Part of the Projects section of Coddy's Flutter journey. Lesson 23 of 36.
The badge says how many things are in the cart. Tapping it should show what they are, on a cart screen.
Turn the badge into a button: put the Badge inside an IconButton as its icon, and push a CartScreen in onPressed. The IconButton adds its own 8 pixels around the icon, so the padding on the right drops to 8.
The cart screen needs no constructor data: the cart is already shared. It watches the model and builds one row per item:
final cart = context.watch<CartModel>();
...
for (Product product in cart.items)
ListTile(
leading: CircleAvatar(...),
title: Text(product.name),
trailing: Text(money.format(product.price)),
),This is the strength of a shared model: the product page writes to the cart, the grid and the cart screen read it, and none of the three screens passes anything to the others.
Challenge
MediumShow the cart:
- write a
CartScreenwith anAppBartitledYour Cartand aListViewwith aListTilefor each item in the cart - each row: a
CircleAvatarin the product'sshade50with its icon in the product's color, the name, and the price astrailing - in the grid's top bar, put the
Badgeinside anIconButtonthat pushesCartScreen, 8 pixels from the right
