What is Coddy?
Coddy is a place to learn to code by writing real code in your browser or phone, in short daily lessons. Each challenge is checked as soon as you run it, and Bugsy, the AI tutor, helps when you get stuck.
Updated October 17, 2026
Coddy teaches programming through short lessons you do every day. You read a little, answer a quiz, and write code that is checked the moment you run it. There is nothing to install.
What you can learn
- Programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, C++, C#, SQL, Go, Rust and many more, each as its own course
- Web development with HTML and CSS
- Topics that span languages, such as data structures and algorithms, in the course catalog
- Career paths that put courses in order toward a goal, such as Backend or Data Analyst
- Math and chess, each with courses of their own
How it works
- Lessons mix a short explanation, a quiz and a coding challenge. See How lessons work.
- Bugsy, the AI tutor, explains errors and gives hints without handing you the answer. See Bugsy, the AI tutor.
- Streaks, XP and leagues help you keep a daily habit.
- Certificates are free when you finish a section. See Certificates.
You can learn on coddy.tech and in the iPhone and Android apps, with your progress synced between them.
Is it free?
Yes. Every course and certificate is free, with a daily energy limit. See Is Coddy free?
