XP, leagues and the leaderboard
You earn XP for every lesson, quiz and practice you finish. At 100 XP you join a weekly league of up to 30 learners. Each Monday the top 7 move up a league and win a chest.

Earning XP
You earn XP for passing challenges, finishing quizzes, practice, history cards, chess games and puzzles. Harder challenges give more. Passing on your first try gives 40% more, and revealing the solution before you pass gives less.

Weekly leagues
Once you reach 100 XP, you join the weekly leaderboard: a group of up to 30 learners in your league. The leagues, from first to highest, are Rookie, Starter, Explorer, Challenger, Master and Elite.
Every Monday at 00:00 New York time the week ends:
- the top 7 move up a league and win a chest
- the bottom 7 move down, in groups larger than 20
XP from practice and interview problems counts toward your league up to a daily limit. All of it still counts toward your total XP.
Friends and squads
The leaderboard also has Friends and Squad tabs. A squad is up to 30 people who join with a code and share a weekly XP goal. When the squad reaches it, everyone claims a Rare Chest.
